It is
Halloween. Following a tradition started almost two thousand
years ago, The Sorority Coven meet. However, they’ve come a
long way from the pointed black hats, billowing cloaks and
broomsticks of their ancestors.
The
Sorority comprises sisters from four of the world’s most
powerful White Witching families - the Papillons,
The Strasses, the Devines
and the Andresses - brought together
under the watchful eye of Chiyoko
Masumi, one of the oldest and most powerful living Independent
Witches. Chiyoko has presided over
the Sorority Coven for almost 120 years.
The
Sorority Coven ensure that
supernatural beings live in harmony in the human world. Their
powers may only be used for purposes of good and the Coven
Charter has a strict code of conduct to ensure the dark days of
the persecution of witches never return.
There
are pressing issues for The Sorority to discuss. Druj, the evil Dark Witch’s powers are
growing and an increasing number of disillusioned White Witches
are defecting to her cause. Tired of living ‘false’ human lives
and with the use of their powers curtailed by The Sorority,
many witches are growing restless for change. The four head
families of The Sorority must put aside their personal
rivalries to work for the good of the coven but this is not
always an easy task. Chiyoko Masumi
is the gentle glue that holds The Sorority together.
If
something should happen to Chiyoko
then the power of The Sorority Coven would be greatly weakened
and anything could happen…
